Valley View Lodge is situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in Marysville BC. To the West, the setting sun dusts the tops of the Purcell Mountains in a pink profusion. To the South, the St. Mary River ambles in an air of peaceful tranquility.

The Marysville Lions Club housing project began in 1980, with community need, government funding and a dedicated group of individuals. The purpose of the Marysville Lions Housing Society is to provide low-income housing for people age fifty-five and older, or persons living with a disability.

December 1984 saw the completion of Valley View Lodge; the first residents moved in.  The cost of the project was well below the original estimate of $2,097,000.

The Lodge features a south facing common room & fully enclosed sunroom with a panoramic view.  Our sun room is a great place to watch the evening sky or to relax while soaking in the surrounding views. The sun room is equipped with patio furniture and some exercise equipment.
The common room is comfortably furnished couches, card tables, piano, stereo, television and book cases. A brick fireplace enhances an end wall.  There is a fully operational kitchen for the get togethers, also there is one washroom located in the common room.

Our main building is comprised of 35 units, 28 units are for singles, 5 units are for two people and 2 units are designed for people in wheelchairs. The single units are 450sq. feet, the two person units and the wheelchair units are 500sq. feet.  Each unit has a kitchen, living room, one bedroom, bathroom and storage room. All units are hot water heated.

Fall 2010 saw the start of construction of six new units on our property, we hope to have units ready for new tenants April 1,  2011!!!  This project was possible through the vision of our current Board Of Directors and BC Housing,  with funding coming from the Columbia Basin Trust, BC Housing,  BC and Canadian Governments
